Dr. ElGawady’s research group focuses on addressing issues related to resiliency and sustainability. The research group has developed zero-cement concrete using 100% class C fly ash. We also developed several applications for tire-derived aggregates in concrete, masonry (CMU), and pavement. Dr. ElGawady’s students are working on developing resilient structural systems that accelerate bridge construction. My students are also working on the repair of infrastructure using different repair options.
